With each gathering of the body of Christ you miss you open up more room for Satan to fill your heart with doubt and questions that can’t be answered in your absence. Slowly but surely you will start to disconnect from people you once would take a bullet for to then not even being willing to pray for or interact with on a regular basis. Read Hebrews 10:24-25
It’s the slow fade of digression away from the very body of believers that were your strongest shoulder to lean upon that have now just become an option.
When we let anything but what truly matters get in our way of following God’s Word we put ourselves into a situation where we either bend, and move forward or we break and fall away.
It’s a hard choice, but the results of staying faithful to God far outweigh the consequences of not. God has not called us to the sidelines and shadows, He has called us to the front, He has called us to play on the field. We can’t truly lead from the sidelines no more than one can effectively coach from the stands.
We need to be playing on the field with the team in order to be truly effective, to know the full story and to make the biggest impact.
Figure out what exactly it is within yourself that is causing you to choose not to be active and participating in your local fellowship of like-minded believers and fix it.
Make the adjustments and come Into alignment with the Word of God.
If you are feeling more of the weight of the world than you are the love of Christ then it’s time to come home, lay aside the weights and move forward in victory. The train of time waits on no one, get back on board while you still can and do what is right. Return to your first love.
Christianity and the Kingdom aren’t for the faint of heart. It’s time to be serious and realize that this is no game. We are at War and the battles don’t end until we are called up to that Heavenly realm. If you can’t or won’t fight till then end then you aren’t a Soldier. But that decision alone is yours. We can’t force it and neither shall we try. You must choose this day who you will serve. Pick a side, there are only two. Good or evil. The choice is yours.
Matthew 10:34-42 NKJV
[34] “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. [35] For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; [36] and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ [37] He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. [38] And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. [39] He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. [40] “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. [41] He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. [42] And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
Satan wants you off the field, playing on the team to coaching from the stands. He will use your weaknesses to get a foothold in your life. You must learn to close those doors and not give him an inch of opportunity.
If not, it won’t be long till you are off the field and into the stands.
Selah.
