Our Heritage
The Saints Army© was birthed in 2024 by Apostle Joshua David Lifford and his wife of over 23 years Nicole. The Saints Army formerly known as "JCBC" short for Jesus Culture Bible Church began in January 2024. During the birthing of JCBC one of the key traits that has always been exhibited was that we are a small but mighty army. We are a determined group of diverse Christians who have experienced the painful side of Religions sting. Our desire is to simply return to the pureness of New Testament Christianity. Yes, we believe in and follow contextually all of Scripture, but we recognize from Scripture the distinction between the Old Testament and the New Testament. We see scripture as a mirror, and we simply want to be the reflection.
After 20 years of serving with a cessationist denomination, in 2019, Joshua stepped away from full-time ministry. In 2020 and 2021 Joshua's life fell apart. In 2022 Pastor Joshua David & Nicole's lives changed forever when they were introduced to Pastor Greg Locke and DR Harrison at a Hope Crusade in Gatlinburg, TN. Pastor Locke invited them to Mt. Juliet, TN and from there, the rest is history. God took this couple from the brink of divorce and restored their marriage, family, and ministry through deliverance. Pastor Joshua & Nicole served on the deliverance team at GVBC under the direction of Pastor Greg & Tai Locke. They are forever grateful for the Locke's example and dedication to serving the Lord Jesus. On January 01, 2023, Joshua was ordained at GVBC. In April of 2023 First lady Nicole attended the ladies conference at GVBC where she gave God her complete yes to serve Him in whatever capacity He had in mind. In October 2023, they left their lives in Tennessee and moved to Spokane, Washington. Heeding the call of God to come to Washington, they are now (as of January 2024) the founding Apostolic Leaders/Pastors of The Saints Army.©.
Most recently Apostle Joshua graduated from Dominion Bible Institutes Year 1 and Year 2 Bible Study Program through John G. Lake Ministries. We believe JGLM was the missing link that has been needed as we birth this move of God here in the Pacific Northwest, specifically here in Spokane, WA and ultimately to the world abroad. Our Vision is much bigger than we can accomplish on our own.
